Sarah Elizabeth Clark

Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Clark, 97, of Westernport, passed away on October 10, 2024, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Born on May 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Broadwater) Thomas. 

 After graduating from high school, Betty attended school for sewing and became an avid quilt maker. She was very active while working for the Westernport Rescue Squad, was a lifelong member of the St. Michaels and St. Peters Catholic Church, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also the owner of S.E. Clark Trucking. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her greenhouse, and her many cacti, and loved cooking. 

 She is survived by her children, Dale Clark and wife Sunday, Terry Clark and wife Nina, Mark Clark and wife Vicki, Lane Clark and wife Joyce, and Brett Clark; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a brother, David Thomas; and a sister, Jean (Thomas) Mertz. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 79 years, Glynne E. Clark; a daughter, Jacqueline; and a daughter in law, Kathryn. 

 Betty's request to be cremated was honored and a funeral mass will be held at a later date. The Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Clark family.
