Ruth Shaw

Ruth E. Shaw, 95 of Westernport, MD passed away on December, 10, 2020 at Piney Valley Nursing Home in Keyser, WV. She was born on April 6, 1925 at Swanton, MD and was the daughter of the late John W and Caroline (Davis) Tasker She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. (Les) Shaw who passed away on Feb. 2, 1996. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence A. (Buck) Tasker and Foster E.(Pete) Tasker and her sister, Helen I. Burrell. She is the last of her immediate family.

Ruth was a 1944 graduate from Kitzmiller High School. She retired from Tri-State Memorial Company in Piedmont, WV after many years of work. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Westernport, MD.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, and her three special caregivers, her great-nephew Michael Rhodes, her great-niece Cheryl McNeill and her husband George.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ruth will be buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Swanton , MD.
