Rose Sanders

Rose Mary Sanders 96, formerly of Piedmont, WV died on July 24, 2018 at Dawn View Center in Fort Ashby, WV. She was born in Piedmont on January 2, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Larry DiMasi and Theresa (Fanto) DiMasi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Sanders, who died in 1993 and one sister, Gloria Nyman.

Rose Mary was a member of Divine Mercy/ Saint Peter in Westernport, MD and was a former Member of the CDofA, Court # 485, Westernport. She worked as a clerk at Rosenbaum’s in Cumberland and at Wagoner’s Drug Store in Westernport. She was an avid Bridge player for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan E. Park and husband Rick of Fort Ashby, WV and her sister, Patricia Strickler and husband Vic of Piedmont and her two Grandchildren, Sarah Parsons and Molly Park and her three Great-Grandchildren, Emma, Claire and Cole Parsons.

The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, on Thursday from 4 until 7 P.M. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 A.M. at Saint Peter in Westernport with Father Eric Gauchat OFM as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Saint Peter’s cemetery.
