Linda Kight

Linda D. (Moffatt) Kight, 67 of North Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Lonaconing, MD passed away on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL.

She was born on May 6, 1948 in Frostburg, MD and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Elsie (Hobel) Moffatt. She was a 1966 graduate of Valley High School in Lonaconing, MD and the Scott Beauty School in Cumberland, MD. She worked as a hair dresser in the Cumberland area before moving to Fort Myers in the early 1970’s. She worked and retired from the Lee County education system as a teacher assistant.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Lukas and husband Michael of Cape Coral, FL and her son, Byron Douglas Kight Jr. of N. Fort Myers, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Melinda, Miranda and Makayla Lukas and Kagen Walton; and a special loving friend Col. Thomas Hutchison and her pets, Sultan, Hope and Little Bit

She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Donna Wade-Garthoff and husband Dave of Stow, OH, Judy Richmond and husband J. William Richmond of Lonaconing, MD and Sandra S. Fredlock and husband Bill of Swanton, MD, and her brother, C. Dennis  Moffatt and wife  Barbara of Frostburg, MD and many loving nieces and nephews and caring friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. with Pastor Thomas Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park.
