Kathleen Peck

Kathleen "Kay" Peck, 85, of Piedmont, WV, passed away on November 29, 2023, at Keyser Health Care Center. Born on December 25, 1937, in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Kathleen (Washington) Martin.

Kay was a cook and seamstress. She was a valued employee of Howard Johnson and the Keyser Garment Facility. Kay was a devoted member of Waldon United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer and on church council for 19 years. She was also a 19-year member of the after school grandmother program.

She is survived by her former husband, William E. Peck, Sr. of Cumberland, MD; a daughter, Belinda Wells of Woodbridge, VA; two sons, Mark Taylor of Westover and William Peck Jr. of Piedmont; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia Beard of Berwyn, PA and Mary Courtney of Cumberland, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aleena Taylor, and a grandson, Clayton V. Peck.

Friends will be received on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 11 AM to 12 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 34 Jones St., Piedmont, WV 26750. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM with Rev. Theodore I. Bessey officiating. Interment will take place in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser at a later date. The Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Peck family at this time.
