Jennifer Lynn (Michael) Metz

Barton, MD - Jennifer Lynn (Michael) Metz, 45, of Barton, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at her residence.

Born on July 19, 1976 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of Jeffrey L. and Jean Sylvia Michael. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Emily Michael and Mary Ann Michael.

Jennifer graduated from Westmar High School, Class of 1995 and worked as a caregiver for Home Health Care.  She was a Baptist by faith and loved her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents, are her loving husband Jeffrey Wayne Metz; three children, Christopher Wayne Lafferty Jr. and wife Brittany of Westernport, MD, Carissa Vanmeter and husband Billy of Cresaptown, MD and Malachi James Metz of Barton and her two sisters, Brandy Kimble and husband Tracey of McCoole, MD and Lacey Wigger and husband Seth of Barton. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren who she adored, Ashlynn, Addison, Braxten, Caysen, Easton, Emberleigh, Jamisen, Hazeleigh, Brantley and Kaden and her nephews, Joshua, Trace, Taylor, Landen, Bransen and Remingten.

Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00am with Reverend Shawn Shumaker officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to service at 10:00am. Interment will be held in Philos Cemetery, Westernport, MD.
