James Fairall Sr.

James P. Fairall, Sr passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2016 surrounded by family, a team of dedicated caregivers and the compassionate care of Potomac Valley Hospice.

Born on Aug 24th 1924,in Westernport, MD, he was the son of the late Walter and Kathryn (O'Hanley) Fairall.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald, John and Joseph; three sisters: Mary Margaret Kolberg, Rose Taylor and Katherine Ord;  and a son-in-law:  Don Starcher.

Mr Fairall was a member of St Peter’s Catholic Church, Westernport, the Knights of Columbus and a long time member of Mill Creek Country Club.  He was employed at the Luke Mill of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co for 42 years. He retired. in 1987 as a Supervisor in the Finishing Room

He was a loving husband, dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather   He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dolores (Knott) and three children: a son Jim and wife Nancy of Hedgesville, WV, a daughter Nancy Starcher and Frank Fitzwater of Keyser, and a son Mark and Wife Sue of Myrtle Beach S.C., eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Fredlock’s Funeral Home, Piedmont on Wednesday June 29 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held onThursday at 11:00AM at St Peter’s Catholic Church Westernport MD. with Father William Matheny as the celebrant.

Interment will follow at Saint Peter's Cemetery

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Potomac Valley Hospice 150 Pin Oak Lane Keyser WV 26726.
