Garrett T. Wilson 31, of Bloomington, MD passed away on June 4, 2021 due to complications from a long term battle of kidney disease at his home in Bloomington, MD. He was born in Cumberland, MD on May 2, 1990 and is the son of Richard (Rick) and Robin (Guthrie) Wilson of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard C. Wilson.
He was a 2008 graduate of Southern High School and was a member of the Carpenters Local Union 1024. He was a devoted father and loved spending time with his niece and nephew. His daughter Emberlee was the light of his life. Anyone that met Garrett knew he loved watching the Steelers and enjoyed trading crypto coins online. He also loved to cook and ride dirt bikes.
In addition to his parents, Garrett is survived by his daughter, Emberlee V. Wilson of Bloomington. He is also survived by his sister, Melissa Wilson, niece Adeline M. and nephew Guthrie M. Wilson of Bloomington. Grandparents, Helen E. Wilson of Lonaconing and Margaret L. Wilson of Swanton, Robert E. and Sylvia V. Guthrie of Rawlings, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a special cousin Jake Taylor who was always like a brother to Garrett.
The family asks in lieu of flowers donations go to the Bloomington Fire Department and Tri-Towns EMS.
Inurnment and his celebration of life will take place at the Bloomington Park on Sunday June 13 at 4 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV.
