Obituary: Anna Lee Welsh

Anna Lee Welsh, 95 formerly of Church Street in Westernport, MD died at the Egle Nursing Home in Lonaconing, MD on Sunday, September, 25, 2017. She was born in Keyser, WV on May 31,1922 and was the daughter of the late John Coglan and Mary (Driscoll) Coglan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Welsh III, who died on Oct. 12, 2000.

Anna Lee was a faithful member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Westernport, MD. She was a graduate of Piedmont High School. She worked at the Piedmont Post office for several years prior to her marriage.

She is survived by her son, James A. Welsh IV and his wife Hon of Tampa, FL and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her brother-in law Paul Welsh and wife JoAnn of Westernport and sister-in law Joanne Welsh of Westernport.

The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Sunday October 15, 2017 from 6 until 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Mercy/Saint Peter in Westernport on Monday, Oct. 16 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Westernport, MD.
